1. Introduction & Scope
GetMeASutta ("we," "our," or "the Platform") operates a creator tipping and micro-support platform serving creators, developers, artists, and students, primarily across India and Nepal. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, store, process, and protect your information when you access our website (getmeasutta.com) and services.
By creating an account, browsing creator pages, or sending a tip, you acknowledge and agree to the practices outlined in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
A. Creator Account Information
When you register as a creator on GetMeASutta, we collect:
- Authentication credentials (email address, Google Auth token).
- Public profile details (chosen username/handle, display name, bio, avatar, social media links).
- Payment receiving identifiers: Indian UPI ID (VPA) or Nepalese eSewa/Khalti wallet identifiers and optional QR code image URLs.
- Currency preferences (INR or NPR) and goal settings.
B. Supporter Information
Supporters are not required to create an account. When sending a tip, supporters can voluntarily provide:
- Display name (or choose to remain anonymous).
- A personal public support message.
- Tip amount and selected currency.
C. Technical & Operational Logs
To maintain system health and prevent fraudulent abuse, our servers temporarily log basic connection data, including IP address, browser type, device metadata, and access timestamps.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information exclusively to:
- Generate and host your custom creator profile (
getmeasutta.com/@yourname). - Render peer-to-peer payment intent links and QR codes so supporters can transfer funds directly to you.
- Display public supporter messages on creator walls.
- Send essential transactional notifications (such as tip receipts or security alerts).
- Detect and prevent spam, bot harassment, or malicious traffic.
4. Payment Security & Banking Details
We do not store raw credit/debit card details, CVVs, net banking passwords, or UPI MPINs.
GetMeASutta functions as a peer-to-peer facilitation interface. Transactions occur directly between the supporter's banking app/digital wallet and the creator's registered recipient account over regional networks (UPI / NPCI in India, and eSewa / Khalti / Fonepay in Nepal). We do not hold creator funds in escrow.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We use minimal browser local storage solely for essential operational features:
- Theme Preference: Storing your preferred light or dark mode setting.
- Session Authentication: Secure Supabase tokens to keep creators logged into their dashboard.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
6. Data Retention & Deletion Rights
You have full ownership of your data. You may at any time:
- Update your profile info, bio, avatar, and payment details from your Creator Dashboard.
- Request a complete export of your account activity.
- Request permanent account deletion and purging of your profile by emailing
privacy@getmeasutta.com.
